Will my hair grow back if I stop using hairspray?
With pure breakage and an intact follicle the hair keeps growing; the missing length simply takes time. If a product irritated your scalp, pausing it makes sense, but it does not fully clarify the cause. If your density is decreasing, what happens next depends on the diagnosis. Lasting or increasing hair loss should be examined.
Is it harmful to breathe in hairspray?
Used as directed, the toxicity is low, according to Poison Control, the US poison control service. Breathing in the spray mist can still irritate the airways. So do not spray directly towards your face, ventilate the room and follow the instructions on the packaging. Anyone with asthma or another respiratory condition should be especially careful.
